What this service is
A trained Healkin nurse removes stitches (sutures) at home safely once a wound has healed enough.
Who needs this
People with healing wounds whose doctor has advised that stitches can now be removed. Always based on medical advice on timing.
What to expect during the visit
The nurse checks that the wound has healed adequately, removes the sutures gently using sterile technique, and applies a light dressing if needed. Any care advice for the healed area is shared before leaving.
