What this service is
A trained Healkin nurse provides specialised care for bedsores (pressure wounds) at home, cleaning and dressing them and advising on prevention.
Who needs this
Bedridden or low-mobility patients who have developed, or are at risk of, pressure sores. Care is ongoing and often paired with repositioning advice. Always based on medical advice.
What to expect during the visit
The nurse assesses the pressure wound, cleans and dresses it appropriately, and looks for signs of infection or worsening. They advise on repositioning, skin care and offloading pressure to help healing and prevent new sores.
